Our Auschwitz and Wieliczka tour is a great option if you have one day only and wish to visit both sites. Both are situated in Krakow surrounding and both are inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Auschwitz Concentration Camp and Wieliczka Salt Mine are a must while visiting Krakow. You will head for Auschwitz first. Auschwitz sightseeing starts with a documentary movie and lasts 3,5 hours. Not only will you see Auschwitz I, but also Birkenau where the most extermination took place. From Auschwitz you will continue your trip to Wieliczka, the medieval kingdom of salt. Ojcow National Park is the smallest in Poland but in this case, size does not matter. You will find there fascinating rock formations, 400 caves and two castles. It’s situated very close to Krakow and provides magnificent views. You will start from visiting ruins of a gothic castle in Ojcow. Then we will take a walk through the fairy-like valley to the King Lokietek’s Cave. This is where the Polish king Wladyslaw Lokietek hid from the army of the Czech king Waclaw. Your next stop will be Pieskowa Skala with its beautiful, renaissance castle. It is one of the sights of the Eagle Nests Trail, picturesquely situated on a steep hill. If you wish to spend one day out of Krakow, you should definitely consider our Dunajec River Rafting. Our driver will pick you up from your hotel and you will start your 2 hours journey to Sromowce Katy, where the rafting marina is located. It’s absolutely safe and you do not have to be anyone special to take part in it. Our raft trip offers pleasant opportunity for leisure and to see nature at its best. Dunajec is the border river between Poland and Slovakia. It snakes through the gorge which is a part of the Pieniny National Park. The scenic views are breathtaking. The route is 18 km long and the rafting takes approximately 2 hours 15 min. Rafting season starts on 1 April and it lasts until 31 October.

Picturesquely situated at the foot of the Tatra Mountains the town of Zakopane is a winter capital of Poland. Two hours drive from Krakow will take you to this mountain resort which is a great place to visit all year round. In summer numerous hiking trails invite for a walk, while in winter numbers of skiers enjoy the snowy slopes.
Highlanders folklore is still vivid in Zakopane. You will fall in love with beautifully decorated wooden houses in the oldest part of town. A visit to the wooden old parish church and the unique cemetery is a must – nearly all gravestones are true works of folk art.

Wieliczka Salt Mine is situated on the southeast outskirts of Krakow, which makes it a perfect choice for a half day trip. After a short drive you will descend to Wieliczka mine and enter the amazing subterranean world of salt. You will explore 3 kilometers (1.9-mile) of meandering corridors, 20 magnificent chambers and giant caverns, 3 majestic chapels, an underground lake, and dozens of unique sculptures carved in the salt rock by miners, before you reach the depth of 135 meters (443 ft) underground. The largest and most brilliant among underground chapels in Wieliczka is the Chapel of Saint Kinga, also known as a subterranean salt cathedral. Amazingly, even the crystals of the chandeliers are made from salt in Wieliczka! Exploration of this most unusual salt mine in the world (appreciated by UNESCO) takes approx. 3 hours. At the end of the tour, an elevator will return you to the surface and back to the world!
Note that temperature underground ranges between 14° and 16° C so please bring warm clothing. Also comfortable shoes are recommended as there are 800 steps to follow of which 350 at the beginning will take you down into the mine.

Bochnia Salt Mine is a great proposal for those who want to experience unusual adventure. It may be a great alternative to the more popular and always crowded salt mine in Wieliczka. Both are inscribed on the UNESCO list. An hour drive from Krakow will take you to the oldest salt mine in Poland. Its origins dates back to 1248! Visitors come to see the oldest and most beautiful nooks of the mediaeval mine. This is a truly extraordinary journey through the underground town of salt chambers, excavations and chapels. Bochnia Salt Mine surprises with numerous attractions. You will learn the story of the mine from the fascinating multimedia exhibition and take a ride with a special underground train, which actually rides through St. Kinga’s Chapel! For those courageous who are not afraid of speed, a 140 meter (460 ft) wooden ramp is waiting to slide down between the mine levels. Finally, you can take a boat trip across a chamber filled with brine, an unforgettable experience and biggest attraction of the mine. Thanks to the specific microclimate, Bochnia also has an underground spa facility.
